Situation + Task

As part of an engineering design course, the team was assigned to build a functional prototype of a pharmaceutical dispenser. The goal was to interpret technical drawings and fabricate the model using real materials and safe workshop practices.

⚙️ Action

  • Interpreted engineering drawings under supervision to understand dimensions and assembly sequence.

  • Used power and hand tools to cut plywood and aluminum components, including drilling screw holes with precision.

  • Participated in fabrication and mechanical assembly, ensuring structural alignment and smooth motion of moving parts.

  • Worked closely with teammates to divide tasks and maintain safe practices throughout the build process.

📈 Result

  • Successfully completed a working prototype of the dispenser, demonstrating accurate reading-to-build execution.

  • Improved hands-on skills in shop environments and gained confidence in physical prototyping and team-based assembly.
