Situation + Task

Manual multi-ingredient pouring in commercial beverage preparation introduces human error and reduces operational consistency. To address this, this project aimed to develop a mechatronics-based beverage dispensing and mixing machine from scratch, translating abstract recipes into deterministic multi-actuator control logic with real-time user feedback.

⚙️ Action

  • Defined system functional requirements and associate each operation to appropriate sensors, actuators, and dispensing mechanisms.

  • Performed force analysis to determine motor torque and power requirements for reliable dispensing performance.

  • Developed the embedded software architecture and programmed the LCD interface for recipe selection, status display, and user interaction.

  • Assembled the functional prototype, integrating mechanical components, sensors, and actuators into a complete mechatronic system.

📈 Result

  • Demonstrated automated recipe selection and dispensing through coordinated hardware–software integration.

  • Delivered a working prototype validating the system architecture, control logic, and functional requirements.

  • Established a modular design framework supporting future expansion of recipes and dispensing functions.
